The agreement between us

Terms of Use

The rules for using RustHub — your account, what scrap is and is not, what you may post, and where our responsibility ends.

01Who we are, and what this is

RustHub is a community hub for Rust clans: a clan directory, recruitment board, wipe roster, bounty board, content-creator roster, and a Discord bot that ties them together. It is run by and for the community.

RustHub is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Facepunch Studios, Valve, Discord, Twitch, YouTube, TikTok, or BattleMetrics. Rust is a trademark of Facepunch Studios.

By using RustHub you agree to these terms, the Competition Rules, and the Privacy Policy.

02Your account

You sign in with Discord. You are responsible for your Discord account and for everything done through it on RustHub.

You must be old enough to hold a Discord account in your country. Competitions with real-world prizes have a separate 18+ requirement, set out in the Competition Rules.

One person, one account. Creating additional accounts to farm scrap, evade a ban, or vote or claim more than once is not allowed.

03Scrap

Scrap is a score internal to this community. It is not money, not a currency, not a security, not a token, and not property. It has no monetary value and no cash equivalent.

Scrap cannot be purchased. It cannot be sold, traded outside the site, transferred between accounts except through the features RustHub provides, or exchanged for anything of real-world value.

We may adjust balances, change earning rates and prices, correct errors, and reverse transactions resulting from a bug or abuse. We may reset balances entirely — for example at the start of a new season — with notice in the news feed.

Scrap is not stored value and you have no claim to it. If your account is closed, or RustHub shuts down, any scrap balance simply ceases to exist and nothing is owed to you for it.

04What you post

You keep ownership of what you post — clan descriptions, recruitment pitches, taglines, links, and video evidence. You grant RustHub a non-exclusive licence to display it on the site and in our Discord for as long as you keep it posted.

You are responsible for having the right to post it. Do not post anything you do not own or have permission to use.

Do not post: anything unlawful; harassment, threats, hate speech or targeted abuse; sexual content involving minors; malware or phishing links; other people’s personal information; or advertising unrelated to Rust.

We may remove, hide, or edit any content, and suspend or remove any account, at our discretion and without notice. Paid promotion does not exempt content from moderation, and we do not refund scrap spent on content we remove for breaking these terms.

05Linked accounts and third-party services

You may link a Steam ID, a BattleMetrics profile, and content channels such as YouTube or Twitch. Linking is optional. It exists so we can credit you for playtime and show your content, and you can ask us to unlink at any time.

Only link accounts that are yours. Claiming someone else’s profile or channel is a bannable offence and any scrap earned through it will be removed.

RustHub reads public data from these services. We do not control them, we are not responsible for them, and their availability and accuracy are outside our control. If a third-party service is down or wrong, your earnings or content display may be affected.

06Bounties and challenges

Placing a bounty deducts the reward plus a listing fee from your balance. The reward is held until a claim is verified or the bounty is cancelled or expires; the listing fee is destroyed and is not refundable.

Clan challenge stakes are held in escrow between the two clans and returned in full if the challenge is declined, cancelled, or voided. RustHub takes no cut of any stake or pot.

You may not place a bounty on yourself, arrange a claim with a friend to move scrap between accounts, or agree the result of a challenge in advance. Doing so is match-fixing and we will void the result and remove the scrap.

Real-world prizes attached to a bounty or competition by a sponsor are arranged directly between that sponsor and the winner. RustHub never holds or pays them. See the Competition Rules.

07Availability, and no warranty

RustHub is provided as-is and as-available, with no warranties of any kind. It is a community project, not a commercial service with an uptime guarantee.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it at any time, including the economy, features, and the site itself. We do our best to keep data safe, but you should not treat RustHub as the only record of anything you care about.

08Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, RustHub and the people who run it are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data, lost scrap, lost prizes, or loss arising from another user’s conduct or from a third-party service.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

09Ending your access

You may stop using RustHub at any time and ask us to delete your account — see the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate access for breaking these terms, for abuse, or where we are required to. Where it is fair to do so we will say why.

10Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted in the news feed. Continuing to use RustHub after a change means you accept the updated terms.
