The RustHub Herald — A New Home for Rust News

The RustHub Herald — A New Home for Rust News

Rust is a game where something is always happening.

One day it's a huge clan war. The next it's an alliance nobody saw coming. Then someone gets insided, someone gets banned, a base gets wiped, and suddenly half the server is arguing about it in Discord.

Most of these stories disappear just as quickly as they happen.

That's why we're launching the RustHub Herald.

What is the RustHub Herald?

The RustHub Herald is our dedicated news publication for the Rust community.

The goal is simple:

We want RustHub to become the place you go to find out what's happening in Rust.

We'll be following the clan scene, major wars, alliances, raids, rivalries, community drama, cheating cases, bans, players, servers and major Rust updates.

Some stories will be serious.

Some will be funny.

Some will probably piss somebody off.

That's Rust.

The Herald isn't supposed to feel like a corporate news website. We're part of the community, and we want the writing to actually feel like it belongs here.

More Than Just Clan Drama

The clan scene will be a big part of the Herald, but it won't be the only thing we cover.

We'll also be keeping an eye on what's happening across the wider Rust community.

Major updates and changes to the game.

Interesting servers and communities.

Players making a name for themselves.

Major cheating bans and investigations.

Community events.

Big raids and ridiculous defences.

Anything else that is genuinely worth talking about.

Basically, if something happens in Rust and people are talking about it, there's a good chance we'll be interested.

We're Not Here to Repeat Discord Rumours

One thing we want to get right is the difference between what people are saying and what actually happened.

Rust communities move incredibly quickly. Somebody posts a screenshot, somebody else adds a story to it, and twenty minutes later there's a completely different version of events flying around Discord.

The Herald should be able to separate the two.

We'll always try to make it clear when something is confirmed, reported, alleged or simply community speculation.

That doesn't mean we're going to make the articles boring.

It means the story should still mean something when the next wipe starts.

This Is Only The Beginning

The Herald is part of a much bigger idea for RustHub.

We don't want RustHub to just be another website for Rust.

We want it to become a hub for the community itself.

A place where you can keep up with the scene, discover what's happening, follow clans and players, see the biggest stories from recent wipes and eventually contribute stories of your own.

The more people who get involved, the better it becomes.

So if you're playing on a server and something happens that deserves attention, send it to us.

A huge raid.

A ridiculous betrayal.

A massive clan merger.

A player getting caught cheating.

A war that's taking over the server.

A story nobody else is covering.

We want to hear about it.

Welcome to the RustHub Herald.

The servers will wipe.

The clans will change.

The bases will fall.

The alliances will collapse.

But the stories don't have to disappear with the wipe.

We'll be here to write them down.
